One botched swing short. Not exactly how I wanted to end the month, but it was still a good month, nonetheless. I’ll have the final numbers posted once I get my IB monthly statements sent to me via email. With the end of this month…I am finally in the black for the year! That’s pretty [...]

It should be around -$458. I dumped two contracts at 13970 and one at 13991 near the close. No chance that I was going to hold this position over the weekend. I gave this trade longer than I had already anticipated, so it’s not getting one more day out of me. I guess it was [...]

It’s a beautiful day outside in the 70s. I haven’t played golf all week, so I’m out. Someone do the short dance for me while I’m gone…I have my exits set at 13865 and 13806…if we break, we should do so within the next hour…

Gold is on the break today. The only bad thing that I see with gold is that this is the second retest of the highs. Usually, on a second retest, we don’t break. It’s the third or fourth retest that we break to new highs with…not the second. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw [...]

Tomorrow is the big day. If we don’t drop tomorrow, then I have to respect this move higher and cover my short position. All signals point to a gap lower tomorrow morning and then a pretty sizable drop. First stop will be the 13800 area, which is about 200 ticks below. If we don’t get [...]

Averaged up again to 13935, but I had second thoughts. I really shouldn’t be trading in these midday duldroms and I shouldn’t be holding onto 5 contracts in this market environment. I think I’m gonna go play golf before I get myself into trouble. I am short 3 contracts at 13935. I’m gonna put my [...]

I covered at the white arrow, which was a breakout from the prior resistance on the 1-min chart… But…it looks like it was just a fakeout. Short scalpers covered, and long scalpers bought…now we go lower.

This was from one of the four short contracts at an average of 13917, two at 13873 and two at 13962. I want to make sure that I don’t get too overextended here, even though I’m pretty sure that we’re gonna drop either late today or tomorrow. The smart thing to do would be to [...]

I’m kind of ashamed to admit it, but I shorted 3 more contracts this morning. Two at 13962 and one at 13978. If I’m right, we should head down to the 13885 area some time today, then retrace back up to the 20 SMA on the 60-min before the close. I’m not expecting a big [...]

No trades today. I decided to go take a nap at 3pm when the markets started to “breakout”. That’s how I scared I am of this recent “breakout” above the consolidation highs. I hate to break the news to you guys, but this is not a “breakout”. It’s not. This is just one final retest [...]

I like this chart, more so because I am long: DBA broke above the prior highs last week. Since then, it’s been in a bull flag pattern for the past several days. It’s a good sign when a stock retraces less than 38.2% of the initial breakout. We’re a little bit overbought at the moment, [...]
