Alright, so here’s the deal, our account manager at Bodog hooked us up with a sweet deal. It’s a $20 + $2 tournament running on Sunday, June 1st at 9:05pm EST. The payout will include all of the buy-ins, as well as a $250 + $20 tournament chip for every 15 players who play in [...]

I’m pretty confident in my SMN position. Not so much with DUG. I think that I may take some partial profits by the end of the day. Maybe 250 shares to lock in $500 in profits. Technically speaking, we should’ve busted to the upside already. Seeing that we’re in Day 4 of the consolidation doesn’t [...]

I dumped 5 out of my 8 SMN June $25 calls at $4.6 and $4.7 for +$600.50 so far. Still holding 3 contracts from an average of $3.4. The good news is that based on this chart pattern on the 15-min chart, we should go back up to retest those highs near $31 by tomorrow [...]

I don’t really like this chart: Nor do I like this chart: But these are the 15-min charts, and I’m trading on the dailys and weeklys. First thing is, I should get out of my June $25 calls. Next push to $30+ and I’m out.

I have a feeling that no matter when I cover my shorts, it will be too early, so I’m gonna try my hardest to sit tight and let my positions do their work. I still have quite a bit of cash on the sidelines, which I may put into non-oil/basic materials/china/banks shorts…something a little more [...]

I’ll be honest…it is boring as F to watch this market all day long and do nothing. Yeah, it’s fun to see my portfolio rise due to this recent market drop, but I only get a small fraction of the excitement that I used to get from day trading. I guess I made the decision [...]

So, the HVAC unit in my parents rental townhouse has gone kaput. The townhouse is a four story “rowhouse” built in 2000 in Alexandria, VA. The HVAC unit is “only” 8 years old. Apparently the developers installed the cheapest HVAC units in the townhouses, which have been discontinued. A lot of the neighbors have had [...]

So, I was watching the American Idol finale last night (you know you watched it too…don’t lie) and my comcast DVR stopped recording right when Seacrest said “and the winner of this year’s American Idol is…David…”, then it went blip. WTF. Bastards. I’m watching the Today Show right now. Looks like there’s a new competitive [...]

I’m pretty much just gonna sit back and let my swing trades do their work over the next few weeks. I wish I would’ve taken on that YM swing short that I mentioned a few days ago, but I slept on it, so not much to do right now. I’m not too worried about my [...]

Not much to do today. I have my positions in place and now I’m just gonna let them do their work. DUG, SMN, BX, FXP, SRS, SKF, MOS, MON, TD, SIBEE I think that’s all I have. I am comfortable with all of my positions. I would keep a close eye on IYT today. If [...]

Alright, I’m in 950 shares of DUG at an average of $26.95. I’ve waited months for this play and now that it’s finally here, I’m not gonna chicken out. No chance that I’m pussing out of this one. We may get one final sweep out, but I like my odds here. It’s all about the [...]

Shot a 111 at Mattaponi Springs on Saturday. I was striking the ball well, but I kept pulling it left. And like usual my short game was atrocious. It didn’t help that the course was tough as F either. Probably one of the toughest courses that I’ve ever played on. Can’t do much, but sigh [...]

I sold 100 shares of BX this morning at $20.27 for +$500. Still holding 100 shares from $15.30. +$2500 or so on the trade so far. My last SMN order got filled yesterday at $28.15, so I have a full 1000 shares now probably at an average of $33-$34/share. I also got 5 June $25 [...]

Oldie, but goodie. I still have a paltry 200 shares from $15.33. It’s trading at $20.75 today. It’s good to know that my play actually worked out though. So now we’ve retraced back to the 38.2% retracement level, which to me, is a sell signal. Since I only have 200 shares, I don’t have too [...]
