All I feel like doing is getting rid of all of my losers (basic materials) today, but I’m pretty sure that it’s the wrong thing to do. I keep telling myself to stop panicking and let it play out. Gotta BELIEVE. The good news is that the McClellan Oscillator made a higher low, while prices [...]

Had a ton of interesting hands this weekend (all in $2/$5 NL, $500 max buy-in): I raise to $25 with pocket Jacks. 4 callers, with one behind me. The flops comes 3-4-7 with two spades. I bet out $80. One caller behind me, the rest fold. The turn pairs the board with another 4. I [...]

Okay, I am long oil here: Long 100 DIG at $63.20 Long 100 NOV at $48.37 Long 100 RIG at $113.59 Long 1500 AVR at $3.63 I’m probably going to add another 100-200 shares of DIG depending on what happens over the next few days. The basic materials sector is skinning me alive this morning. [...]

Played from about 6pm til about 10pm yesterday. Ended up losing $14. Hah. I made two failed “semi-bluffs” and that was all she wrote. Pretty stupid of me, but I was trying to use my tight/solid table image and I ran into the nuts both times. DAGGER. The first hand, I had pocket tens in [...]

Definitely heading up to AC today. Looking forward to check raising some tourists at the Borgata over the next few days. We’re supposed to get quite a bit of rain from today until Saturday, here in DC, so it’s not going to be a fun around here anyways. Might as well throw some coin at [...]

Pretty boring today. Still waiting for DIG to come to me. That’s about it for the markets. So, it’s “Dallas Week” here in DC. Game time is at 4:15pm. We’re 2-1 and the ‘boys are 3-0. I think this picture says it all: Check this out, this idiot carried around a second wallet, just in [...]

Just put some money to work. Instead of buying 500 shares of UYM, I’ve decided to buy 400 shares, and then buy 50 shares each of MOS and MON. So, I just bought: 400 UYM at $60.38 50 MOS at $92.11 50 MON at $116.15 SMN hit my target above $40, so I’m long UYM [...]

Got into a little bit of an argument with one of my golfing buddies on Friday afternoon at Fairfax National. On the 16th hole, I hit my drive into the left rough. It was clearly in-bounds somewhere, as there weren’t any hazards around. Well, we go up to the area where my ball is, and [...]

Nothing to do today. Just sit back and wait for my setups to come to me, then when the time comes, I will pounce on them. Two plays in particular that I’m watching, UYM and DIG, which also means oil related stocks (RIG & NOV) and basic materials stocks (MON, MOS, POT). MON has looked [...]

I am looking like a friggin genius right now: Dow is up over 300 points. Short sellers are being squeeze like hell. SKF at $117. SRS at $81. TWM at $69. Genius. Lesson learned. Don’t ever F with the McClellan Oscillator. Stick to the plan. Go play golf if I have to.
